Ruger and his look sustain a unique identity, with his talents taking another shape on the pensively structured sophomore extended play. “Second Wave” emboldens his talents and makes them evident after dishing out his most promising debut in 2019 titled “Pandemic”.

With Second Wave, Ruger attempts the exploration of various sonic cadences ranging from Afro-pop, reggae accompanied with strong rhythms next to grooves, demanding his ability to deliver inclusively; with his sound vocal and ability to twist lyrics, promotes fandom and has the potentiality of bringing Gen Z closer as his music appeals often to this audiences.

Second Wave is a brief project, starring himself amongst his adept record producer Kukbeats, who understands the most parts of his musical style and dishes accordingly. Well, Ruger has now become more experienced in making music. He now becomes intentional about telling his stories, expanding them through loving women and extinguishing the flames and darts of his detractors.

Ruger has come to terms with appreciating his unique abilities without minding his denigrators. He understands that he makes good music without finding hindrances and has decided to keep on proving that exactly as he races after a Second Wave where listeners would still experience that fullness which is what he offered. The themes, lyrics, and essence of this project are what Gen Z folks would revere and understand more than every other listener.

A topic like “Snapchat” and “Dior” is an example to what Gen Z can relate with as it exists amongst them, and could refer their minds back to how often they adore Dior fashion and frequently operate their smartphones using the popular Snapchat App, editing pictures and connecting with pals respectively. Topics like this could stick with this set of listeners and bond them as they have attachments with it. “Useless” is one of the strongest themes of this EP, alongside the essence drawn to show forth his pop star abilities in all fullness. “Champion” as well, sturdy and motivating.

In conclusion, Ruger understands the state of the culture and how he should dominate a territory amongst contemporaries. He has discerned his audience after dishing out “Pandemic” in 2019, still investing to understand how to create the wave which would move with the audience and connect their minds.
