EveGhanaian Afrobeats singing sensation, Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, widely known as Camidoh has said that Nigeria is the best country to promote songs because they have a huge market.
Artist Camidoh is one of the few Ghanaian artists who has broken the Ghanaian market and the Nigerian market with their songs. Camidoh’s song titled “Sugarcane” is one of the most played songs in Nigeria.
During an interview with Pulse Nigeria, Camidoh said that he does not rush to do hit songs but concentrates on the quality of the song. However, he only concentrates on producing good songs. He believes that if an artist only channels their energy to produce hit songs, they might fade away soon. Camidoh disclosed that he is currently working on another banger with other Nigerian artists.
He disclosed that he does not force his songs but he is an organic artist and connected with Mayokun when he saw him in Wizkid’s video. He realized he was the right person for his remix “Sugarcane”. Camidoh explained that he only marketed his song in Nigeria well but his main target was to cross over his songs and career to Nigeria but was glad the song went viral and made a hit.
The young artist praising the Nigerian market said, “Nigeria is a giant in Africa and every African artist should try and penetrate the Nigerian market. This is one of the biggest markets in terms of music. It’s show business. If you don’t have the numbers, how can your music grow? I think Ghanaian artists should penetrate into the Nigerian market”.
